Marno has two kinds of role. Workspace access controls product permissions. Work roles group people for ticket assignment.

Workspace access

  • Owner has Admin access and controls billing, member access changes, and ownership transfer.
  • Admin can use the full workspace, configure Marno, connect services, manage knowledge, and invite or remove members.
  • Moderator can work tickets in Inbox. Other workspace pages redirect to Inbox.
Only the owner sees Team → Owner. To transfer ownership, first make the recipient an Admin, then choose them in the Owner tab.

Work roles

Create work roles such as Finance or Technical Support from Team → Roles. A work role can receive ticket assignments, but it does not grant admin access. Admins can assign any number of work roles to a member. Editing a work role updates its name, description, color, and icon. Deleting it removes the role from members and ticket assignments.
Do not grant Admin access only to route tickets. Use a work role and keep the member’s workspace access at Moderator.
